Artist Statement

A young autistic woman in a post-apocalyptic society learns to deal with change, growth, and acceptance. Inspired by my own parent’s divorce in 2009 and the ensuing road trip from one state to another, the story follows Beacher, living in the idylic isolation of a lighthouse with her mother, Meryl, when Hardy washes ashore, and how she handles the challenge of a new figure in her life.
